Christine Erwin joined the team at St. Louis Institute for Rehabilitative and Sports Massage in November 2005 after graduating summa cum laude from the Missouri College of Massage Therapy in St. Louis, Mo. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and is nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork.
Beginning her career in 1985 in the field of Western Medicine, she worked side by side with a variety of surgeons, allowing her to see the effects strain has on the fascia patterns of the body and ultimately leading to her passion to practice a holistic, non-invasive, therapeutic approach to pain management, health and healing.
She currently practices a combination of modalities including myofascial integration, structural integration and techniques that incorporate active isolated stretching. She anticipates completing her studies in CranioSacral Therapy and the Grafton Technique in 2008.
Ranging from the ages of 9 to 90, Christine's clients seek relief from the normal wear and tear of every day living to chronic pain from conditions such as degenerative disc disease and fibromyalgia. She has worked with athletes from a wide of sports, weekend warriors, and clients recovering from hip and knee replacements, scoliosis and the discomfort of being bed ridden.
